  1. I’m in the same boat!

After some research, I’m leaning toward the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants. They have a 25 year history, an at-home training course with certification upon completion, and a great reputation with the BBB.

What sold me on this organization was that after certification and they will help you get your business started through mentor-ship with established consultants and free or low-cost access to knowledgeable professionals…like accountants and attorneys!

Check the link below for the course description and an outline of what’s covered…I think you might find it useful.

Best to you! Here to us both winding up on Platinum Weddings!

  2. That field seems very cool I wanted to do something like that but because I don’t like picky females I decide to not get into it, (LOL) but I suggest you look online and look up someone who already have their own Event/ wedding planning Business and ask them for advice. I mean talking to someone who has already been in the business can give you advice even financially wise so you don’t have to go outside the means of your budget.

Talk to people that know the business that is exactly what I did when I went into designing my own handbags.

    I hope that helps..Good Luck

Well first you’ve got to make sure you have sufficient funds for any sort of planning, 8/10 you will have to provide the equipment for any of the events that you plan. This could be equipment like chairs/tables, stands and even having employees available to serve in the event. Make sure that you’ve got all of these done and you’re half way there. You can check out this website to help you get this checked off your list: http://www.tsnn.co.uk/audio_visual/suppliers
    Good luck!
